What the Hell is Ex-Hatch?
Our company is actually “crosshatch” — named after the art technique of cross-hatching, which is creating closely spaced parallel lines to create tone and value. In this case, Design + Development. In our case, we didn’t want to spend the money to acquire crosshatch.com. Call us whatever you want, really. Even our own team calls ourselves Ex-Hatch from time to time.
How much do you charge? Is there a price sheet?
Our team typically bills hourly, but it is always up for negotiation. We do not have a price sheet. It would be pretty dumb of us to tell you how much something is going to cost before we even know what you want us to do. Let’s get coffee or chat on Skype before we throw numbers around. It really depends what is being created.
You are all over the place. Do you all really work together?
Gotta love the Internet! Our team is constantly in contact via Skype, phone, IM and email. In fact, our team members are often collaborating on the same projects, often in different timezones. David and Adam began this collaboration when they were in Paris and working with clients in Seattle, and then when Adam was in Seattle and David was in Barcelona.
You create iPhone apps? Did you do Angry Birds?
