#ERIC Campaign / WeLoveEric.com | May 2009 to present
On May 15 2009, I joined former CNN reporter Veronica De La Cruz in her efforts to save her brother Eric's life; caught in health care red tape in the state of Nevada and in dire need of a heart transplant Veronica wanted to raise awareness of health care issues and was determined to raise money for the operation for Eric. I launched the website "We Love Eric" and used Twitter to share Eric's story. My goal is simple with this project—do whatever I can to help Veronica save her brother's life. Eric passed away July 4, 2009. However, a recent healthcare reform bill passed called "Eric's Law."
